Freelance editors need good business skills.

This full-day workshop will take participants through the practical requirements and examine the realities of freelancing. The workshop will be rewarding not only for freelance editors but also for in-house editors and those contemplating setting up a freelance business.

The presenter
Kerry Davies has 40 years' experience in the publishing and communications industries in private and government sectors, much of it as a freelancer, but also in-house as Manager of Magabala Books in Broome and Senior Editor for Focus Publishing in Sydney. She is an IPEd Accredited Editor and has worked on numerous trade publications, educational titles, reports and reference books. She runs a freelance business, Kerry Davies Publishing Services, and is Chair of IPEd and the current Budget Officer for the Editors Queensland.
