The IPEd business case: An open forum
Recently, on behalf of IPEd, we forwarded to all members the discussion paper to consider the future business structure of our national organisation, as well as two affiliated papers, a Q&A paper and a paper on a national membership structure and shared functions.
We realise it's a lot to get your head around. So we're providing this special opportunity to meet with some of those who have been working on those papers and considering all of the issues that they raise.
Get your questions ready, come along to the meeting and fire away.

The way forward is not straightforward, but the central issue is:
IPEd needs increased funding in order to carry out what it was meant to do. Whether that's by simply increasing the levy, and therefore society fees, or through a transition to direct membership of IPEd, which will also require increased fees, will be put to the vote in late November.
All societies have been asked to send feedback to the working party and IPEd Council by mid-October to guide the Council as to how to structure the vote and whether, if the increased funding model is selected, it will allow a vote for shared functions.
