IPEd is pleased to announce the new date for the 2020 accreditation exam is Saturday 5 December 2020.
Registrations for the exam have now re-opened. For information about registering, including fees (unchanged from before), new closing dates and the cancellation policy, go to 2020 exam registration on the IPEd website.
To download the registration form and pay the registration fee, click here.
The exam will be held in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Wellington, although confirmation of venues will depend on reaching minimum numbers in each venue. The venue provider, Cliftons, and the Accreditation Board will be observing a number of physical distancing and hygiene measures to ensure candidates and invigilators can attend the exam venues safely.
Please note that this exam will not be re-scheduled or cancelled. The Accreditation Board is putting contingency measures in place in the event of another lockdown in any or all of the exam venues, so that the exam will go ahead on this date even if it's in limited venues or a modified form. The next exam will not be until at least 2022.
If you were planning to sit the exam this year, you should resume your preparation. The IPEd website has more information about the exam itself, exam fees and registration, and exam resources, including the exam-related webinars, the Guide for candidates and sample exams.
For those unsure about what accreditation is and those who missed our free, open forum in March, you can read the transcript (including the open question and answer session) on how the accreditation scheme is managed and funded, why we have an exam and what it tests.
If you have any questions, please contact the Chair of the IPEd Accreditation Board, Linda Nix, or your branch delegate directly.
