Wednesday 3 April 2019
Come to the next Editors Qld member meeting (non-members welcome!) on Wednesday 3 April to hear an important Queensland story and the author's reflections on the process of putting it together for publication. Paul Richards, lawyer and long-time supporter of the rights of Indigenous Australians, self-published his book, Adventures with Agitators, which appeared in August 2018.
Reflecting on the publishing process, Paul will address questions such as:
- What is the value of engaging an editor?
- What can editors most usefully offer a first-time author?
- What should we be telling writers and prospective clients about the process of editing and publishing?
The evening promises to yield important insights into the self-publishing experience from an author's perspective.
