Workshop with Brett Osmond

This one-day workshop will challenge, inspire and inform you by revealing practical strategies to help you become more successful at the business of generating an income from editing. The workshop will cover everything from reviewing your business plan, sales development tactics, market analysis and product development, to partnerships and client management, differentiating yourself, setting rates, training and your approach to marketing and publicity, including all aspects of digital marketing and social media. At the end of the workshop you will have a valuable toolkit to generate more editing work.

About the presenter
Brett Osmond graduated from UNSW with a degree in commerce and marketing and holds an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is a former marketing director at Penguin Random House and director of the federal government's Books Alive campaign.

Brett has been in the publishing industry for over 20 years. He is currently managing director at Leading Hand Design, which offers a range of strategic, design and digital services, including graphic design, branding and visual identity, art direction and photography, environmental graphic design, digital and web, videos and animation, illustration, copywriting and print management, With that range of experience, Brett is well placed to run this workshop.
