IPEd National Survey of Editors 2016
Every few years, IPEd conducts a comprehensive survey of editing practice in Australia. The latest survey was undertaken in 2016. A record 541 editors responded. The survey covers demographic information of editors and sections on qualifications and training of editors, Australian editing work, technology and editing, professional development needs of editors, income from editing and freelancer information. It includes a series of graphs and tables as well as comments on open-ended questions that provide insight into the work that editors do, the sectors they work in and the challenges they face.
The IPEd National Survey of Editors 2016 provides IPEd with valuable information that can be used to guide and inform our future activities to ensure they meet the needs and expectations of members.
