Wednesday 5 July 2017
Rhianna Patrick will be our speaker at the next member meeting. Her topic will be: From the wireless to the wifi.
Rhianna Patrick started at the ABC as a news and current affairs cadet in Sydney. During her 15 years with the national broadcaster, Rhianna has worked across triple j news, television documentaries, Radio National and co-hosted an aviation podcast. Rhianna is the former presenter of ABC Radio's national Indigenous programme, Speaking Out.
For the last three years, Rhianna has presented a new national programme, Rhianna Patrick, which broadcasts every Sunday night on ABC Radio. She's taken to calling the programme ABCRhi after its hashtag, as few people have been able to spell her name right to be able to find it online.
Rhianna will talk about her diverse career and her experience of the evolution from radio as a discrete medium to a multimedia platform.
