Wednesday 3 February 2016
For the first general meeting of 2016, Ellen van Neerven of the State Library of Queensland will be updating us on the library's black&write! Indigenous writing and editing program. Almost five years ago as a member of a three-person panel, Ellen spoke to the society about the program, which was in its infancy then, and we thought it was time for a catch-up.
Ellen will talk about what makes Indigenous writing different from other forms of writing and what is involved in mentorship projects. She will update us on the program's activities in the intervening period since she last spoke.
When: Wednesday 3 February 2016, 6.00 pm for 6.30 pm
Where: The Gabba Ward Office, 2/63 Annerley Road (Cnr Annerley Rd & Crown St, Woolloongabba).
