GUEST SPEAKER: Susan Johnson, journalist and novelist
Susan Johnson will present "A writer's multiply edited life", which, based on her experiences as a novelist (seven titles including My Hundred Lovers and Flying Lessons), as a non-fiction author (two titles including the memoir A Better Woman) and as a print journalist (feature articles for QWeekend), will focus on some of the "approaches of editors in England, Australia and the US" and touch upon translations and the adaptation of books to plays.
TIME: 6pm for 6:30pm start; meeting ends 8pm
VENUE: The Gabba Ward Office, Corner of Annerley Rd & Crown St, Woolloongabba (ENTRY is via the rear door)
COVER CHARGE: members $10, non-members $15, includes drinks and nibbles on arrival
PARKING: Ample spaces available in car park behind office, and in the street
