Wednesday 3 April 2013
Our guest speaker for April is locally based publishing consultant Alex Adsett of Alex Adsett Publishing Services.
Alex has worked in publishing and bookselling for fifteen years, in both Australia and the UK, and has accumulated deep levels of knowledge across many areas of the industry. Her experience includes bookselling for both independents and large publishing houses, contract drafting and copyright, legal research and, more recently, author representation in her role as literary agent.
At our meeting, Alex will unravel the seemingly complicated business of contracts, copyright and digital rights in the publishing industry and tell us, in simple terms, what editors need to know.
