The Friends of Griffith University Library invite you to attend a lecture by Dr Lev Gonick on the transformational impact of next generation networks on local communities within the United States.
Lev will draw on his experience as the founder of One Community, the award winning project to create a connected community throughout Northeast Ohio using broadband and wired connectivity. Established in 2003 to provide affordable, robust broadband technologies and related programs to non-profit and government agencies, One Community now provides nearly unlimited broadband speeds to 2,300 community institutions within its 1,700 mile network. This successful initiative should resonate with those of us trying to stay connected with the communities we serve especially with those living in remote or rural regions of Australia.
